Functional testing – more than a nice-to-have
The employer must provide clean workwear that is fit for use. That duty applies both when the garments are bought and in keeping every job supplied day to day.
North Wave carries out functional checks on your workwear and protective clothing on a regular basis. Protective garments are not only cared for professionally at our laundries – they are also inspected by specially trained staff. Damaged areas are repaired professionally to the applicable standards, and where the protective function makes repair impossible, the garment is replaced.
Equipment that no longer works is your responsibility: personal protective equipment (PPE)
Protective clothing is governed by legislation and requirements that you, as the employer, must comply with. They apply not only at the point of purchase but in daily use, after every wash and after long periods of continuous wear.
When garment condition is checked on every cycle, you have evidence that your duty of care for employee safety has been met.
Static-free garments for ESD workplaces
You cannot see it, but electrostatic discharge is one of the biggest hazards to electronics, parts and components. ESD clothing is an essential safeguard, protecting sensitive electronic devices, boards and coils from damage.
Alongside regular inspections we also offer individual ESD measurements. We test a random sample of your ESD garments and document every parameter – room climate, measurement points, resistance. The test report records the measured values and confirms whether the garments still meet ESD requirements.
