1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. UAB „Šiaurės banga“ (the “Company”) protects and respects the privacy of the users of its website (“Data Subjects”).
1.2. This privacy policy, together with the documents referred to in it, sets out the basis on which the Company collects, processes and stores the personal data it gathers about Data Subjects or that Data Subjects provide to the Company (the “Policy”). Data Subjects are asked to read this Policy carefully so that they correctly understand the Company’s approach and practice regarding their data and how such data will be processed.
1.3. Data Subjects are deemed to have read this Policy when they complete a registration form.
2. INFORMATION THE COMPANY COLLECTS ABOUT DATA SUBJECTS
2.1. The Company may collect and process the following information about Data Subjects:
- information that Data Subjects provide when completing registration forms on this website at https://www.siauresbanga.lt (the “Website”): first name, surname, email address, telephone number, address;
- all correspondence between Data Subjects and the Company (both on the Website and by email);
- data on Data Subjects’ browsing history on the Website and related data;
- Data Subjects’ IP addresses.
2.2. Personal data is collected and processed only in the cases set out in Section 4 of the Policy and for the purposes set out in Section 6.
2.3. The data of Data Subjects who submit an enquiry using the form on the Website is stored for 3 (three) years from the last action taken by the Data Subject (the enquiry, the sending of a reply, or similar).
2.4. Where a Data Subject completes the catalogue download form, the Company processes their email address, company name and, where the Data Subject provides them, name and telephone number. This data is processed in order to deliver the catalogue and, where necessary, to answer related questions. It is stored for 2 (two) years from the download. Downloading the catalogue does not constitute consent to receive marketing communications – such consent may be given separately by ticking the newsletter box.
3. COOKIES
3.1. In order to improve the quality of your browsing, and for statistical and marketing purposes, the Company uses cookies on this website. More detailed information about the cookies used and the purposes for which they are used is set out in the cookie policy.
4. CASES IN WHICH PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED
4.1. Personal data may be processed where:
- the Data Subject, when using the Company’s Website and/or the services provided by the Company, gives the Company information about themselves (except for processing operations that require the Data Subject’s separate consent);
- the Data Subject gives consent;
- a contract is concluded or performed with the Company where one of the parties is the Data Subject;
- it is necessary to protect the vital interests of the Data Subject;
- processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by the Company or by a third party to whom the personal data is disclosed, and the interests of the Data Subject do not override them.
5. STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
5.1. If the Company has doubts about the accuracy of the data provided by a Data Subject, the Company has the right to suspend the processing of that Data Subject’s data and to verify and correct it.
5.2. From the moment it is received, your personal data (first name, surname, email address, telephone number, address) is protected against loss, unauthorised use and unlawful alteration. The Company applies strict personal data protection procedures and technical and organisational measures to ensure protection against unauthorised access to Data Subjects’ data.
6. USE OF PERSONAL DATA
6.1. The Company uses Data Subjects’ data in order to:
- ensure that the content of the website is presented in the most effective and appropriate way for Data Subjects;
- provide Data Subjects with information or services they have requested, or that may be of interest to them, where Data Subjects have given consent to be contacted for this purpose;
- inform Data Subjects about changes to the services provided by the Company.
6.2. Where Data Subjects have provided their contact details in the course of a sale of services, the Company may send them, by electronic means (email), information relating to services similar to those in connection with which the contact details were obtained. If a Data Subject does not wish to receive such offers, they may inform the Company that they decline them by email at info@siauresbanga.lt or by clicking the relevant link in any message about offers already sent to them.
6.3. Where Data Subjects have not provided their contact details in the course of a sale of services, offers from the Company and its partners will be sent by electronic means only where the Data Subjects have given explicit consent to such processing of their data.
6.4. The Company also uses the contact details of Data Subjects who have purchased services for market research purposes, in order to assess customer satisfaction with the Company’s work and to improve the quality of that work accordingly. Replies to messages sent for this purpose are anonymous. If a Data Subject does not wish to receive such messages, they may inform the Company that they decline them by email at info@siauresbanga.lt or by clicking the relevant link in any message already sent to them.
7. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
7.1. Personal data may be disclosed to third parties where such transfer or sharing of Data Subjects’ data is necessary to comply with legal requirements, or is necessary in order to apply or perform any other contracts and agreements, or to safeguard the rights, property and security of the Company, its customers and other persons.
8. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
8.1. Data Subjects have the right:
- to be informed about the processing of their data;
- on submitting a request to the Company at info@siauresbanga.lt, to receive information about the sources from which their personal data was collected and what data it is, for what purpose it is processed, and to which recipients it is disclosed and has been disclosed over the last 1 (one) year. The information is provided to Data Subjects at the email addresses they specify no later than within 30 (thirty) days of the date of the request. The Company provides such data to a Data Subject free of charge 1 (one) time per calendar year;
- on submitting a request, to require that incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate data be rectified and/or that the processing of such personal data be suspended, with the exception of storage, if the Data Subject establishes that their personal data is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, or is processed unlawfully or unfairly. The Company informs the Data Subject without delay whether the rectification, erasure or suspension of processing requested has been carried out or not.
8.2. The Company’s website may contain links to the websites of partners, advertising providers or associated parties. Please note that other websites reached by following links on the website have their own privacy policies, and the Company accepts no responsibility for those privacy policies. We recommend reading the privacy policies of those websites before providing any personal data on them.
8.3. Complaints from Data Subjects about improper or unlawful processing of personal data are examined by the State Data Protection Inspectorate, registered address A. Juozapavičiaus g. 6, LT-09310 Vilnius, vdai.lrv.lt.
9. CHANGES TO THE POLICY
9.1. Any changes to this Policy will be published in this Policy and, in certain cases, Data Subjects will be notified of them by email.
