Quality and hygiene

How we ensure workwear hygiene and laundry quality

In the food, pharmaceutical, electronics and medical industries, clean workwear is not a matter of comfort but of safety and compliance. Here is how the North Wave laundry makes sure your team’s garments meet the strictest hygiene requirements.

The right garments for sensitive industries

We supply work garments suited to the food, pharmaceutical, electronics and medical industries. Where required, we offer models with no external pockets, buttons, snaps or other parts that could come loose and end up in the product. The garments are made from high-quality industrial fabrics that can be washed at high temperatures (up to 85 °C).

A laundry that meets hygiene standards

Our laundry meets the hygiene requirements of HN 130:2012 and holds a hygiene passport. The wash technology for food and medical industry garments includes thermal chemical disinfection – washing at no less than 60 °C.

No cross-contamination

Clean and soiled textiles are handled so that clean items cannot be re-contaminated. For manufacturing and food industry customers, each category of garment is washed separately, and in transport clean garments never come into contact with soiled ones. On request, clean garments are packed in polythene bags.

Continuous microbiological control

Every quarter we carry out microbiological control of the process, taking samples at every critical control point. Micro-organism identification and other testing is carried out by the National Public Health Surveillance Laboratory.

Systematic quality management

The company operates an ISO 9001 quality management system with quality control procedures and internal audits. The journey of every rented garment – arrival, washing, rewashing, replacement due to wear, number of washes and wear time – is recorded in our ERP system.

Hygienic storage

As part of the rental service we provide storage lockers for clean and soiled garments with sloping tops, in line with food industry requirements.
